The 3M Open is a professional golf tournament on the PGA Tour, held annually in Blaine, Minnesota. 3M’s sponsorship underscores the brand’s commitment to blending business goals with community engagement, leveraging a world-class sports event to enhance brand image with impact locally and globally.
We developed an end-to-end digital user journey for the activation space on-site. Users were asked to register, complete a product themed quiz, record a score at each of the club-in-hand golf activities then receive a summary email detailing their score and linking to a survey where users could review their experience. Also, 3M donated $15 for every hole-in-one reordered at the main activation area and also at a satellite experience at their hospitality suite. We added a running donation amount to the live leaderboard showing overall scores and total donation.
